Welcome to the 2017 (fall) Event Year!

Our Mission is to provide social opportunities for our kids that are non-religious and educational that are free to low cost for our families.

Welcome! Gulf Beach Homeschoolers is an all inclusive non-religious group aimed at providing social opportunities for our kids.  We are a FREE group and attempt to keep all activities free to low cost. Our group is primarily located in South Sarasota County FL but have families join our activities from surrounding areas as well.

This website was created for families looking to join our Facebook Group, which is our main source of organizing events and activities. We are looking for active members who are able to participate regularly as well as possibly volunteer to host field trips or other educational and social opportunities for our kids. Check out the typical events we host throughout the year here. 

We do require that ALL potential members meet us during a monthly meet and greet. We require to put a face to the Facebook profile. We do a number of event meet ups and want to make sure that ALL members receiving this information are current homeschoolers and real people not fake profiles. In our opinion this is important to the safety of our children and our homeschool group. We love that the area is a large homeschool community and their are a number of other Facebook homeschool groups for this area and we encourage all potential members and current members to utilize all these resources.  We aim to add everyone we can to the group but we must meet you in person first. Please fill out the application form and we will be in touch with the next available Meet and Greet Date. 

Application Process:  For all potential members - please take a moment to fill out the Application Form located on the Application Page.  After the form is complete one of our Admins will contact you about our next Meet and Greet park play date/potluck which you are required to attend before we add any New Members to the Facebook Group. Summer 2017

During the summer months the administration team takes a bit of time off.  Please note that we will do our best to respond to member requests with emails within 1 to 2 weeks.  August we will begin to be more active again.  Thank you for understanding.

Gulf Beach Homeschoolers is an all inclusive non-religious group aimed at providing social opportunities for our kids.  We are a FREE group and attempt to keep all activities free to low cost therefore we run on a volunteer base. GBH is located in South Sarasota County FL but have families join from surrounding areas as well.

This website was created for those seeking membership since our main source of communication is on a Facebook group which is marked Secret (you will not be able to find it in a search on Facebook).  We are not an exclusive group but we are looking for active members that are looking for events and planning a homeschool community for our area. Please view our possible events details here.

There are plenty of resources out there to help determine curriculum, help to navigate laws and other homeschool hurdles.  This isn't to say that our group doesn't step up and help answer these questions, our members are always more than happy to help spread knowledge about homeschool topics and we encourage this type of communication. However, this is not the function of the administration team even though we will help when and if we can. Our goal is to create and search out social opportunities for our kids that are non-religious and educational group activities that are free to low cost. Many of our events are put together and hosted by the administration team. Our organization invites all age ranges and are always looking to encourage parents to set up and create group activities that fit their kids age or learning range the best.
